Uganda is the only safari destination whose range of forest primates is as impressive as its selection of plain antelopes. Besides the wide biodiversity, Uganda is also blessed with a vast bird population of more than 1,000 species making it a much sought after destination for bird watching safaris.
Uganda has excellent national parks such as Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park where game viewing safaris is possible. The chimpanzees of Kibale National Park are only one species of monkeys which lives in Uganda. Bwindi National Park or Mgahinga National Park are very popular areas to track the endangered mountain.
Mountain trekking is also a popular activity in Uganda with many peaks to suit all levels of fitness and experience.
